The 2013 Maestro Collection Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah stacks up a dense core of cassis and blackberry from the Cabernet Sauvignon, while Syrah adds unexpected spiciness and juicy, ripe black raspberry and blueberry expression. The texture on the palate is lush, yet firmly structured, and the long finish is laced with deep berry and toasty oak notes. Combining the Bordeaux-heritage Cabernet Sauvignon grape and Rhône-heritage Syrah grape, this is an intriguing, appealing sensory experience of a New World blend. Only 420 cases produced.
