Beaulieu Vineyard’s 2012 Reserve Tapestry contains a dark-fruit character and plush-textured mouthfeel, while five Bordeaux-heritage varietals contribute layer-upon-layer of flavor complexity. This is a wine that shows the artistry of the winemaker, Jeffrey Stambor who choose Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the wine’s core of briary blackberry and cassis expression and its plush mid-palate structure. He then blended in Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec to complete the blend, which added nuances of ripe plum, rose, forest loam and graphite.
